Most pottery is mid-fire, cone 6 stoneware. All are made with commercial, non-toxic and food safe clays and materials.
All Hippersons drink and table ware is food safe. Decorative pottery is food safe unless otherwise indicated.
All pottery is dishwasher safe.
All pottery is microwave and oven safe unless specifically noted. Some darker clays may heat up in the microwave, so please use caution when handling from microwave heating.
Pottery should be protected from sudden, large temperature changes (e.g. freezer to oven) and is not suitable for stovetop use.
It is not recommended to leave planters outdoors over winter in freezing temperatures, as all pottery is prone to cracking if frozen damp.
